Eurovision Song Contest fringe show again not from the Reeperbahn

At this year's Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), the countdown and after-show programs will once again not be broadcast live from Hamburg's Reeperbahn.
Presenter Barbara Schöneberger (50) will present the programs "ESC - der Countdown" and "ESC - die Aftershow" on May 11, the final evening, directly from Öresund in Malmö, NDR, which is responsible for ARD, announced on Wednesday. Last year, the programs were no longer broadcast from the Reeperbahn, as was previously the rule, apart from during the pandemic.
According to NDR, the shows will be broadcast simultaneously on the first channel, Austrian broadcaster ORF 1 and Swiss broadcaster SRF 1. This will allow viewers from the three countries to get in the mood for the ESC final together once again and also bring the evening to a close together.
Sweden is hosting the international music competition for the seventh time. Last year, Swedish singer Loreen (40) won the song contest with her song "Tattoo". This year, Germany will be competing with the pop song "Always On The Run" by musician Isaak (28) from East Westphalia.
