According to experts from the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia is still not interested in negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine.
Analysts assume that the Kremlin will only negotiate in the war in order to force the West to make concessions to Ukraine regarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kiev categorically rejects territorial cessions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently presenting his "victory plan" in the USA.
During his visit to the US, Zelensky emphasized that Russia was feigning interest in negotiations and was not interested in ending the war under reasonable conditions, the ISW report states.
Selensky is planning a second peace summit - this time with the participation of Russia. Russia was not invited to the first peace summit in Switzerland in June. Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion for more than two and a half years with Western support.
