The Swiss Federation of Trade Unions and Travailsuisse criticize the agreement with the EU. They say it shows that wage protection is being dismantled.
It was foreseeable that the new agreement would significantly weaken wage protection. This is unacceptable for Travailsuisse, it said in a press release on Friday. The Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB) sounded the same note: the agreement will make it much more difficult to enforce Swiss wages, it wrote in a press release.
The agreement would also have a negative impact on public services, the electricity supply and international passenger transport, the two associations wrote.
