Retour au fil d'actualité
Musician Nemo was overwhelmed by the many impressions after his performance at the ESC semi-final on Thursday evening. It felt great to be able to tell his own story to so many people, said the Biel native to Swiss radio and television SRF.
When thinking about the performance, Nemo struggled for words, as was heard in the Radio SRF report on Friday morning. "There are so many thoughts in my head, I can't really categorize it," the Swiss singing talent told SRF after the semi-final.
The song "The Code" by the 24-year-old non-binary music talent is about Nemo's journey, which began with the realization that he is neither a man nor a woman. Non-binary or non-binary people do not or only partially categorize themselves as men or women. Nemo does not want to be referred to as "he" or "she".
All Nemo remembers is: "The feeling on stage was incredible." The support from the audience in the arena was palpable on stage, Nemo told SRF.
Cracking the audience with "The Code"
Nemo won over the audience with the song. Next Saturday, Switzerland could even win the ESC for the third time. Given his role as favorite, Nemo's entry into the final came as no surprise. The talented musician impressed with a powerful voice on the big stage.
26 countries will compete in the final of the music competition. In addition to Nemo, the Croatian Baby Lasagna and the Ukrainian duo Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil, who qualified in the first semi-final on Tuesday, are also among the favorites.
