French e-cigarette smuggler busted

A 20-year-old Frenchman was stopped at customs in St-Gingolph VS. There were 50 sticks of disposable electronic cigarettes in the trunk of his vehicle.
The driver stated that he had sold 160 electronic disposable cigarettes in a fast-food restaurant in the canton of Valais, as reported by the Federal Customs and Border Security Agency (FOCBS) on Tuesday. The young man had to pay a fine of several hundred francs for importing merchandise in tourist traffic. He also had to pay value added tax.
