Retour au fil d'actualité

Friendship is of great importance for both individuals and society, making people happier and healthier. However, having many friends does not necessarily mean being less lonely. This is especially true for younger people, who have more friends but still feel lonely. Both young and old agree that friends are an important supplement or even a replacement for family. According to a study conducted by the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute on behalf of the Migros-Kulturprozent, the average Swiss person has four close friends, eight other friends, and a circle of acquaintances of 34 people. Humour is the most important factor in forming friendships, as people want to be able to laugh together. The study was conducted online with 3000 people in the German, French and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland.nnnnnn
