Retour au fil d'actualité
Today Thursday, the now closed An'Nur Mosque will be discussed again in the Winterthur District Court: A 50-year-old Algerian is to be held responsible for an attack in the mosque in 2016. The prosecution is demanding a conditional prison sentence of twelve months for the Algerian and a ban on the country for seven years. He is accused of deprivation of liberty, aiding and abetting multiple coercion and aiding and abetting threats. The incident in the now closed mosque took place in 2016. Two believers were then suspected of passing internal information from the mosque to the journalist Kurt Pelda. The mosque was then suspected of spreading extremist views. During the aforementioned incident, several men harassed the two victims and locked the door. One believer was forced to take a ten-dollar bill in his mouth, and the other was forced to give the PIN code of his mobile phone. In addition, several men threatened one victim with death. Nine other believers who were allegedly involved in the attack have already been convicted or acquitted. The proceedings against the eleventh mosque visitor are now abbreviated. The court must therefore only decide on the sentence proposal negotiated by the prosecution and the defense. There will be no pleadings today Thursday. The 50-year-old man was only arrested this year due to a call for tenders. The indictment lists a place in France as the address of residence.nnnnnnnnnn
