Retour au fil d'actualité

On Thursday, a gondola at the Glacier 3000 ski resort in Les Diablerets VD broke down, leaving around 270 tourists stranded on the mountain. Bernhard Tschannen, the head of Glacier 3000, confirmed to the news agency Keystone-SDA that the problem was caused by an issue with the power supply, as a frequency converter had failed. The passengers were pulled to the station with the emergency motor. As it became clear that the problem could not be solved quickly, an evacuation by helicopter was decided at around 1 pm. Two helicopters from Air Glacier were deployed, making 54 flights in total. The operation lasted about an hour and a half. Repairs are underway and it is hoped that normal operations will resume on Friday morning.
