Retour au fil d'actualité
The Basel Art Days are back for the fourth time, taking place from 25th to 27th August. This event, originally created in response to the coronavirus pandemic, has become a major gathering of the art scene. 55 museums, galleries and other art spaces are participating, offering around 160 exhibitions and special performances and activities. These range from renowned institutions such as the Fondation Beyeler and the Kunstmuseum Basel to smaller spaces such as Artachment Art Space and Gagosian Gallery. There is something for everyone, from the Kulturstiftung Basel H. Geiger's experimental dialogue between art and science, to the mysterious szenic installation of the artist duo Stephanie Müller and Ayesha Schnell at the Theater Roxy, to a treasure hunt for art in public spaces for children aged 8-14, and a short film series of cultural creators taking viewers to art spaces outside of museums. The Basel Art Days were originally intended as a one-off replacement for the cancelled Art Basel art fair, but it has since become clear that this family reunion of the rich Basel art scene is meeting a great need.nnnnnnnnnn
