The Graubünden government is following the situation in Misox with great concern and wishes everyone involved a lot of strength, as it announced on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Ticino State Council expressed its solidarity and sympathy to the people of Misox.

Both governments responded to the massive thunderstorms that hit the southern Graubünden valley on Friday. Rivers burst their banks, roads were flooded and several dozen residents had to be evacuated, as the Graubünden government wrote. One person was rescued from a cone of debris on Saturday morning, while three other people are still missing.

Such events remind us once again of the extent to which life in the Alpine region is subject to the forces of nature, the Ticino government wrote in a communiqué on Saturday. On behalf of the entire population of Ticino, the State Council expressed Ticino's full support for the affected population, the Graubünden authorities and the people in the region.
