Retour au fil d'actualité

The Green Party in Switzerland has launched a Solar Initiative which calls for all suitable roofs to be equipped with solar panels by the year 2035. The party believes that there is enough suitable space on buildings in Switzerland to cover the entire electricity demand. However, the parliament has been blocking the development of solar energy for years, which is why the Solar Initiative is necessary. It seeks to enshrine in the constitution that all new buildings and structures, as well as those undergoing significant renovations and roof repairs, must use suitable areas for the production of renewable energy. Existing buildings will be given a 15-year transition period, and this can be extended to 2050 to avoid any hardship cases. The Solar Initiative is an important step towards achieving the energy transition in Switzerland.nnnnnnnnnnnn
