Ignazio Cassis is optimistic about the 2027 elections for the FDP

FDP Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis is convinced that the Free Democrats will win the national elections in three years' time. "Let's not let the headwind slow us down," he told delegates in Tenero TI on Saturday. The wind should be used as an updraft.
After the 2023 elections, it was not easy for the FDP, said the Ticino Federal Councillor. Since then, however, the Foreign Minister believes the party has taken a step forward.
The FDP is now tackling issues that people are concerned about, said Cassis. He emphasized the position paper on education policy. He also mentioned security, which must be guaranteed, and finances, which must be stabilized. This is genuine liberal policy.
The delegates' meeting took place at the National Youth Sports Center in Tenero. Cassis took this as an opportunity to demand that Switzerland should be a meritocracy.
