In the trial before the Olten-Gösgen SO district court against a 55-year-old Swiss man, several witnesses gave evidence on Monday. The former member of the Aargau cantonal parliament is charged with multiple counts of exhibitionism, among other things.

Two girls, who were only 15 years old at the time of the crimes in summer 2022, had seen the man skinny-dipping in Erlinsbach SO. At first they "didn't think anything of it", they said in court.

But then the accused came close and masturbated a few meters away from them, which was "gruesome". When they wanted to leave, he followed them. The two friends fled on their scooters.

Naked on the bike

In May 2018, an elderly woman went for a walk through a forest on the Aare in Obergösgen SO when a naked cyclist came towards her. "It was quite warm, I thought maybe he was going for a swim," the woman testified in court.

The cyclist then tried to engage her in conversation "with his hand on her sex" and ran after her with the bike on his side.

Finally, the naked man grabbed her from behind with his left arm and touched her with his right hand, also on her breast. She fought back by hitting him in the face with her jacket. "Now you can report it to the police," the man then said and walked away.

Since the incident, she no longer walks alone through the forest. Another victim, a younger woman, also said that she had never been back to the site of the incident on the River Aare since the incident and no longer walked alone in the forest.

Kissing beautiful feet

Another older woman who was walking the dog described how the man had asked her about the time and whether it bothered her that he was naked. He complimented her on her beautiful feet and asked if he could kiss them. He then touched her breast. She fought back. The dog barked.

In addition to repeated exhibitionism, the former member of the Aargau Central Council is also accused of multiple sexual acts with children, as some of the victims were between 13 and 15 years old.

According to the indictment, 35 women and girls were involved in the 23 incidents. They were traveling alone, in pairs or in threes in the local recreation area on the Aare. Around half of the victims have waived their right to bring a private prosecution, while some of the others are demanding compensation of up to CHF 8,000, according to the indictment.
