In the night of Thursday to Friday, a lot of rain fell in the canton of Ticino. In Mosogno TI in the Onsernonetal, over 190 millimeters of rain fell in the last 48 hours, according to SRF Meteo on X, formerly Twitter. According to the weather service Meteonews Switzerland, locally over 100 millimeters of rain fell in Ticino in the last 24 hours. On the northern side of the Alps, however, between five and 25 millimeters of rain fell, as Meteonews reported on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday. And Friday remains wet: The weather service predicts intense rain especially in eastern and southern Switzerland.
