Since Thursday night, the line-up for the grand final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday has been finalized. Now the field of favorites is on the move again.

Israel's candidate Eden Golan has started a race to catch up with "Hurricane" and worked her way up from a mere top 10 place in the betting odds on Friday morning to second place, according to the eurovisionworld.com portal. The 20-year-old is under massive pressure in Malmö because of the war in Gaza.

In the hall, the singer was repeatedly booed by parts of the audience, and numerous protest events have been registered in Malmö during the ESC week against Israel's admission to the competition. These included a demonstration on Thursday with thousands of participants, including "Fridays for Future" icon Greta Thunberg. However, this attention does not seem to have harmed the entry.

The Croatian Baby Lasagna was still in first place with "Rim Tim Tagi Dim". In this new duel, the third person in the role of favorite seems to be falling somewhat behind. The Swiss entry "The Code" by Nemo had long been considered the top favorite, but was in third place on Friday morning. France and Ireland complete the top 5 as things stand.
