Two Italians have been arrested at the Iselle (I) border crossing between Valais and Italy. They were hiding valuable watches in their vehicle that they had allegedly bought in Switzerland.

When crossing the border, the two men told customs officials that they had not bought anything in Switzerland. However, on closer inspection, the officers discovered the loot in boxes placed under the seats of the car, as the Italian customs authorities announced on Thursday.

The value of the watches from renowned brands found was estimated at around CHF 24,000 in total. According to the Italian news agency Ansa, a dozen watches have already been confiscated at the crossing in Iselle in recent months.
