Patrick Jetzer, President of Aufrecht Schweiz, has announced his candidacy for both National and Ständerat in the canton of St. Gallen. He has recently moved to Bächli in the municipality of Hemberg SG. Jetzer has previously been politically active in the city parliament of Dübendorf ZH, and in February 2023 he will also be running for government in the canton of Zurich. He is the sixth candidate in the race for a Ständerat seat in the canton of St. Gallen, joining Arber Bullakaj (SP), Meret Grob (Green) and Oskar Seger (FDP). The two current Ständeräte, Benedikt Würth (Mitte) and Esther Friedli (SVP), will also be running in the October 22nd elections.
