Karl’s Daring Street Show Bids Farewell to St-Triphon VD

Karl's daring street show drew a positive review from last season's performances in the quarries of St-Triphon VD. Nearly 75,000 spectators flocked to see a new version of the play "Silo 8". On Sunday, a show that blended poetry and stunts took viewers to a unique retirement home, where the director is trying to force the residents to surrender their personal mementos at the reception desk. However, things don't go as planned and the seniors rebel. Around 50 people from the region supported the team of Karl's Bold Street Show in cleaning or reception, according to the announcement. In 2023, 72 performances took place. Karl's daring street show was able to perform this year in the Steinbrüche in St-Triphon VD, due to the delay of the data center project in the area. It is unclear when the troupe will return to the West Switzerland. Next year, a new piece titled "Reception" will be performed in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, starting in June in Dietikon ZH. According to the information, it will be a water spectacle. Founded in 1984, the Gassenschau troupe has since presented 22 different productions and 2700 performances. For its programs, the Gassenschau has been awarded the Swiss Theater Prize, among other accolades.
