The SVP section in French-speaking Valais is taking a stand against its national parent party on the issue of healthcare costs: unlike the SVP Switzerland, the people of Lower Valais support both the cost brake initiative and the premium relief initiative.
This was announced by the SVP Lower Valais on Tuesday. The sovereign will decide on the two initiatives on health insurance premiums on June 9.
The premium relief initiative launched by the SP, which aims to limit premiums to a maximum of ten percent of disposable income, ensures that each household only spends a reasonable proportion of its income on health insurance, explained the SVP Lower Valais. Families and the middle class in particular would be significantly relieved.
The center initiative for a "cost brake" in the healthcare system could "finally encourage a simplification and reduction of the unnecessary administrative costs that burden the Swiss healthcare system," it said.
The SVP Lower Valais adopted the same slogans as its parent party for the two other proposals on June 9: both support the "Stop compulsory vaccination" initiative and reject the Energy Act.
