Retour au fil d'actualité
For the 23rd time, the Pink Panorama film festival in Lucerne is showing queer films from all over the world. In addition to the short films, the organizers are focusing on a diverse supporting program. The festival is intended to be an important social meeting place for the queer community.
The film festival will open on Wednesday, November 13, at 6.30 pm in the Bourbaki Panorama with six queer short films. According to the organizers, the 75-minute films will allow visitors to explore the "multifaceted world of gender identity and sexual orientation".
The short films, which the festival says are very popular with audiences, will be given even more space this year. Six short films will not only be shown at the start of the festival, but also on the closing night on November 16.
Swiss premiere at the Pink Panorama
There will be a Swiss film premiere on the second day of the festival. Pink-Panorama is showing "The Wish", a film by director Judith Beuth. Over the course of ten years, she followed a couple of women who wanted to have a child. Her work was awarded the Max Ophüls Audience Award for the best documentary film.
El Màrtir" will be examined with a presentation from a cultural studies perspective and a panel discussion. According to the organizers, the film revolves around the erotic attraction to the figure of Jesus in connection with a masochistic tendency. Alejandro Mathé, the director of the film, will also take part in the discussion.
In addition to the films shown at the festival, a creative supporting program is important to the Pink Panorama under the new artistic program director Pascal Bolzern. This year's program includes a salsa crash course, queer-style bingo and slow speed dating.
The film festival will end with a party night under the motto "Too much!"
