Major operation in Constance city center – all-clear

The police have given the all-clear following a major night-time operation in Constance. The background to the operation was a threat situation in Switzerland and a further threat in the area of a hotel in Constance, where a possible firearm was shown, according to the police.
After intensive investigations and coordination with the Thurgau cantonal police, the number of emergency services was reduced at around 3.00 am. The manhunt is over and further investigations are underway. It was initially unclear whether any arrests had been made.
