Around 50 masked hooligans stormed an S-Bahn train at Hardbrücke station on Saturday before the football derby between Grasshopper Club Zurich and FC Zurich. Further incidents and police operations took place around the match.

The storm on an S-Bahn train occurred on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., as the Zurich city police reported on Sunday. There was damage to property on the train, but the police had no reports of injuries.

Before the football match, there was damage to property along the fan marches to Letzigrund Stadium due to spray painting and numerous pyrotechnic objects were set off. At the start of the FCZ fan march, a traffic policeman suffered blast trauma from the detonation of a firecracker and had to seek medical treatment.

Outside the stadium, the police used rubber bullets and irritants against GC fans after they threw bottles at police officers and several dozen people, some of them masked, tried to storm the stadium's underground parking garage.

After the match, police prevented a clash between the two fan groups at Zurich main station. They then dispersed.
