Missing child recovered dead at the Giessbach Falls

The toddler who has been missing from the Giessbach Falls in Brienz BE since the end of June has been found dead. The emergency services located it on Monday and rescued it under challenging conditions, the Bern cantonal police announced on Thursday.
The accident occurred on Sunday, July 23. A man and a small child fell into the Giessbach Falls. The man was found dead in the water two days later. The child remained missing until it was discovered early Monday morning.
