Nestlé is reshaping its Executive Board. Shortly after the new Nestlé CEO Laurent Freixe took office, the Group's Board of Directors announced that the Executive Board will be downsized. The Zones Latin America and North America will be merged into Zone Americas as of January 1.
These will be headed by Steve Presley, the food multinational announced on Thursday. Presley will relocate his activities to the headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland.
The Greater China zone will once again become part of the Asia, Oceania and Africa zone. Remy Ejel will take over its management. David Zhang is stepping down from the Group Executive Board and will remain President and CEO of the China region, according to the statement. There will be no changes in Zone Europe, which will continue to be headed by Guillaume Le Cunff.
The North America and Greater China zones were only created in 2022 under Freixe's predecessor Mark Schneider.
Bernard Meunier will also leave the Executive Board at the end of March to take over the management of strategic projects for the Group. David Rennie, currently Head of Nestlé Coffee Brands, will take over Bernard Meunier's role as Head of Strategic Business Units, Marketing and Sales.
Nespresso boss Philipp Navratil joins the Group Executive Board and now reports directly to the CEO.
