New annual high of 35.8 degrees in Biasca TI

At the beginning of the heatwave in Switzerland, the highest temperature of the year was measured in Biasca TI on Saturday afternoon at 35.8 degrees. It was reached at 3.40 pm.
This significantly exceeded the previous record, as Marco Stoll from MeteoSwiss told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. On July 3, 34.6 degrees were also measured in Biasca TI. Ticino has been in heat danger level 4 (high danger) since Saturday. It will remain in force until Tuesday evening.
