Retour au fil d'actualité
Sophie Hogrefe, who was born in Bern, is the new director of the Murten Classics classical music festival. She takes over the position from Jacqueline Keller, who announced last July that she would be stepping down after twenty years.
Sophie Hogrefe will manage the organization and administration of Murten Classics in 2024. Jacqueline Keller will then be responsible for the artistic program for the last time. From the 2025 edition of the festival, Hogrefe will also take over this part, the organizers wrote in a press release on Monday. Together with artistic director Christoph-Mathias Müller and the board, the organizational team is once again complete.
Hogrefe has a Master's degree in Communication and Cultural Management and previously graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the Rotterdam University of the Arts. The 36-year-old is also very versatile: she was a member of the Swiss national rhythmic gymnastics squad in her youth and has worked as a dancer at various international theaters; she also has experience in viticulture and is a trained sommelier.
