The jury of the Lausanne Dance Prize (Prix de Lausanne) has selected nine winners from 86 dancers, including one Swiss dancer. Thousands of spectators watched the final at the Beaulieu Theater on Saturday.

Thanks to their scholarships, these talented dancers will have the opportunity to be accepted into one of the Prix de Lausanne's renowned partner schools and companies, as the organizers announced on Saturday evening.

For one week, 86 dancers, almost equally divided between boys and girls, from 18 countries applied for this 52nd edition of the Prix de Lausanne at the Palais Beaulieu. The participants, aged between 15 and 18, were selected by video from 425 applications. Among the winners is Nadia Corboud from Vaud, a student at the Danse Académie de Vevey.

Throughout the week, the candidates were judged in dance classes and individually on stage. The 20 best dancers competed against each other in the final on Saturday.

The jury consists of nine members and is chaired this year by Darcey Bussell, Dame Commander of the British Empire and President of the Royal Academy of Dance in London.
