Oekingen SO: Average Performance Among All Municipalities

Oekingen in the canton of Solothurn is statistically the most average municipality in all of Switzerland for this year's National Council elections. Buseno in the canton of Graubünden, on the other hand, deviated the most from the Swiss average. In Oekingen in the canton of Solothurn, the voting behavior with regard to the voter shares of the largest parties deviates the least from the overall Swiss result. This is shown by an evaluation of the news agency Keystone-SDA based on data from the Federal Statistical Office (BFS). In the 872-inhabitant municipality (BFS figure from 2019) in the east of the canton of Solothurn, the SVP received 29.5 percent of the votes, while the voter share was 28.6 percent nationwide. The SP achieved 17.8 percent (18 percent nationwide) and the center 16.3 percent (14.6 percent). The FDP achieved 16.4 percent (14.4 percent), the Greens 11.3 percent (9.4 percent) and the GLP 6.7 percent (7.2 percent). On ranks two and three of the average municipalities are Schönenbuch BL and Halten, another municipality in Solothurn. In Buseno GR, a municipality in the Moseno region of Graubünden with a population of just 89 people according to the Swiss Federal Statistical Office in 2019, the middle party was the strongest with 82.3 percent of the vote (a difference of 67.65 percentage points). The deviation from the SP vote was 16.27 percentage points, from the SVP 14.3 percentage points, from the FDP 7.2 percentage points and from the Green Party 9.4 percentage points.
