Parts of the left bank of Lake Lucerne affected by power failure

The energy supplier Energie Wasser Luzern (EWL) has narrowed down the extent of the power outage on Saturday night to part of the left bank of the lake. Neighborhoods south of Lucerne city center were affected.
The power supply in the area between Steghof and Schönbühl as well as the Hubelmatt area failed, as an EWL spokeswoman told the Keystone-SDA news agency. The affected area could not be precisely defined.
The power outage occurred at around 00:30. The reasons for the outage were still unclear.
