For many employees, the choice of employer increasingly depends on the structure of their pension benefits. In addition to salary, job security and the environment, the 'pension fund' factor is becoming increasingly important, according to a survey by consultancy firm WTW.
According to a survey published by WTW on Monday, the pension fund was an important reason for 39% of participants when choosing their current employer. In 2019, only 23 percent considered this aspect to be important. Almost half also stated that the pension fund was a decisive factor in staying with their current employer.
Employees were also asked what criteria they look for in pension funds. The main concerns were the protection of savings against losses in value, the certainty that the savings will be sufficient in retirement and how the money is invested.
According to the information provided, around 1000 Swiss employees were interviewed for the survey.
