In Stadel ZH, Switzerland, around 80 participants discussed potential measures to remember the danger of a nuclear waste storage site in the Zürcher Unterland region for the next 1000 to 5000 years. Ideas discussed included memorials, indestructible documents, and information stored on the moon. Quick measures suggested included establishing a memorable name for the storage site, founding a foundation to award a regular prize, and integrating the topic into school curriculums. The National Cooperative for the Storage of Radioactive Waste (Nagra) announced in September 2022 that the region Nördlich Lägern in the Zürcher Unterland was the most suitable for the storage site. The Swiss government will decide in the coming years whether to follow this recommendation. The construction of the storage site is planned to start in 2034, with the storage of radioactive waste beginning around 2050.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
