Petrosaudi CEO heard in camera

On Thursday, the Federal Criminal Court continued the hearing of the Petrosaudi CEO in the 1MDB trial in camera. Together with his employee, he is charged with commercial fraud, mismanagement and money laundering.
The defense obtained the exclusion of the public due to alleged threats to the defendant and his family members. The defendant claims to have worked for the Saudi Arabian royal family until the death of King Abdullah in 2015. The Swiss-Saudi dual citizen is said to have fallen out of favor since then.
The exclusion of the public granted due to this particular personal situation was used extensively by the defense to question the defendant about his situation and his professional experience. As the other defendant had previously explained, Petrosaudi was allegedly founded with one of the King's sons to serve as an investment vehicle with countries important to the Kingdom.
