A helicopter went out of control during a transport flight in Prättigau GR on Tuesday and crashed from a height of over 50 meters. The 29-year-old pilot was injured.

The accident happened near Conters while transporting logs, as the cantonal police of Graubünden reported on Wednesday. The helicopter got into difficulties at 1:20 p.m. when setting down a tree trunk attached to the helicopter.

"According to initial findings, the helicopter crashed from a height of over 50 meters and hit the ground," wrote the police. A Rega crew flew the injured pilot to the Cantonal Hospital of Graubünden in Chur.
