The police began clearing the occupied building at the University of Basel on Monday morning. This was announced by the Basel-Stadt cantonal police via X (formerly Twitter).
"University of Basel evacuation: Petersgraben is closed to traffic and public transport due to a police operation", the article from Monday morning stated. The area was to be avoided on a large scale.
