A handful of demonstrators with Tibet flags were turned away from the security zone at Kehrsatz railroad station in Bern on Monday morning. A police spokeswoman confirmed corresponding media reports.

On Monday, President Viola Amherd received Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang at the Lohn country residence in Kehrsatz near Bern. Meanwhile, a group of people with banners and flags were in the security zone near the railroad station, police spokeswoman Isabelle Wüthrich told the Keystone-SDA news agency.

The police checked the people, ordered them to leave and took them out of the security zone by car. The zone had been set up because of Li Qiang's visit. A video on Tamedia media showed the group chanting the slogan "Free Tibet".

According to the Bernese Police Act, removal orders and remote detentions can be issued verbally for up to 48 hours if, for example, people disturb public safety and order.
