Premiere for the new late-night show on SRF television

Premiere with the media minister: Comedian Stefan Büsser hosted the new SRF TV show "Late Night Switzerland" for the first time late on Sunday evening. The first guest was Federal Councillor Albert Rösti. Büsser does not see his show as political satire but rather as entertainment.
"If there's a midwife for the birth of a new program, then it's the media minister," the 38-year-old Büsser told the SRF program "Faces and Stories" in advance. Rösti had accepted surprisingly quickly.
Guest Rösti welcomed Büsser as a man who likes to do things by halves, alluding to his support for the halving initiative. The Federal Council attested that the program was worth the fee money. Rösti accompanied the studio band's closing melody on the drums. He bravely kept up with Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water".
Büsser and his sidekick Michael Schweizer also addressed the visitors to the Lucerne carnival who were left standing by the SBB in Zurich and the Federal Councillors' trips abroad. They described these as carnival escapes.
The two comedians identified Globi as the best candidate for the post of SRG director: Multilingual, preferably Swiss-German, media-savvy, popular and - thanks to executive positions ("Globi at SBB"; "Globi at Swiss Post") - experienced in leadership. Outside reporter and satirist Martina Hügi ventured into the "Men Show" trade fair.
Büsser sees himself more as an entertainer than a satirist. The live show took place in Zurich's "Kaufleuten". The stage was designed along the lines of classic late-night shows. Büsser sat at a large presentation table with a coffee mug.
