"Richard, we love you!": Even at 75, Richard Gere still makes the women scream. The US actor took plenty of time for his fans on the Green Carpet at the Zurich Film Festival on Tuesday.
Although it started to pour just in time for Gere's appearance at Bellevue, hundreds of fans - including many male fans - gave him a warm welcome. The "Pretty Woman" actor shook hands, signed autographs and wiped the rain from his hair.
There were also numerous Tibetans in the crowd who appreciate Gere for his long-standing commitment to their country. Gere had the Dalai Lama documentary "Wisdom of Paradise", which he co-produced, in his luggage. It was also a world premiere for Gere himself that evening. He had not even seen the finished version yet, he said. It had only been finished a few days ago.
