Risk of salmonella in organic rocket from Migros and Denner

Migros and Denner have withdrawn organic rocket from sale due to the risk of salmonella. A health risk cannot be ruled out, according to a statement on Friday evening.
The Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) recommends that the affected product should not be consumed, according to a statement.
According to the BLV, salmonella are bacteria (zoonotic pathogens) that cause illness in humans and animals. In humans, fever and digestive complaints such as vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain can occur within 6 to 72 hours after consumption. People who have consumed the above-mentioned Migros or Denner product should consult a doctor if the above-mentioned symptoms occur.
The Migros brand affected is organic rocket from Italy in 100 gram packaging with the lot number L.394-OAB24-13711-764418 from Migros stores in Zurich, Aare and Ticino.
The Denner brand is also Bio Rucola, but in 125 gram packaging and with lot numbers 39/02 & 40/01, sold in Denner stores in Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Graubünden, St. Gallen, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, Thurgau, Ticino, Zug, Zurich and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
