Schaffhausen Council of States Member (Independent) Must Go to Second Round

Thomas Minder, the independent member of the Schaffhausen cantonal council, failed to be re-elected in the first round of voting. The businessman, known as the "father of the anti-gouging initiative", came in third place behind the SP candidate. The second round of voting will take place on November 19th.

Thomas Minder, a well-known independent politician from Schaffhausen, Switzerland, failed to be re-elected in the first round of voting. He was running against the SP candidate, and came in third place. Minder is best known for his anti-gouging initiative, which aimed to limit the amount of money that companies can charge for their services. The second round of voting will take place on November 19th, and it is unclear whether Minder will be able to secure a victory.
