Following a threat, the police evacuated the Léon-Michaud secondary school in Yverdon-les-Bains VD on Wednesday afternoon. The school had received an anonymous electronic threat that children would be killed.

The cantonal police searched the area around the school and found nothing dangerous. The threatening call came in at 11.40 a.m. after the end of morning lessons, as the police confirmed a report from the Blick.ch news portal in French-speaking Switzerland.

In cooperation with the law enforcement officers, the principal's office decided to evacuate all pupils in an orderly fashion via an exit secured by the police. The measure was taken as a precaution. The cantonal police launched an investigation.
