Several tens of thousands of francs taken in robbery in Cernier NE

In a robbery at a Denner store in Cernier NE, three masked men stole several tens of thousands of francs early on Wednesday morning. The police later arrested two of the three perpetrators in Val-de-Ruz NE.
The three men robbed an employee who had just started work shortly after 05:00 in the early morning, according to a statement from the Neuchâtel cantonal police. Under massive threats, they had several tens of thousands of francs handed over to them before fleeing.
In the course of the manhunt, two of the three perpetrators were arrested in an apartment in Val-de-Ruz. The third perpetrator is still on the run, but has been identified. He is a 20-year-old man living in the region who is known to the police.
