Skyguide reduces air traffic due to global IT failures

Global IT failures had an impact on air traffic on Friday morning. Skyguide air traffic control reduced the capacity of transit traffic by 30 percent. It also reduced capacity on the approach to Zurich by the same percentage.
It has also been affected by the global disruption since Friday morning, air traffic control informed the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. Corporate IT was partially affected. Safety in Swiss airspace is guaranteed, it added.
