Small plane crashes in Grenchen SO

A small plane crashed in a field near Grenchen SO airfield shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The Solothurn cantonal police confirmed the accident at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.
The police were unable to provide any further details at this time. A post by 20 Minuten on X (formerly Twitter) showed the completely destroyed wreckage of the plane in a meadow.
Grenchen SO is home to an important Swiss regional airport. According to the operator, Grenchen Airport has around 60,000 flight movements per year.
