Retour au fil d'actualité

The Swiss People's Party (SVP) and the Corona-critical group Mass-Voll have announced a joint list for the upcoming National Council elections in October in the canton of Solothurn. The aim of the list is to avoid losses within the conservative camp. The two parties have stressed that the list is a "mathematical matter" and does not imply any kind of ideological alliance. The SVP currently holds two of the six National Council seats in Solothurn. Party president Christian Imark will run again, while Walter Wobmann will not stand for re-election. Four years ago, the SVP ran without a joint list with another party. By forming a joint list, the parties and groups hope to increase their chances of winning a seat. From the perspective of voters, joint lists lead to a better use of residual votes.
