Sonova examines relocation of jobs from Zug to Stäfa

Hearing aid manufacturer Sonova plans to relocate its Corporate Audiological Care Team from Steinhausen in the canton of Zug to Sonova's headquarters in Stäfa, Zurich. The company confirmed this on Thursday at the request of the news agency AWP, according to information from the portal "Inside Paradeplatz".
This could also have a further impact on some of the jobs currently located in Steinhausen, a Sonova spokesperson told AWP. The authorities of the Canton of Zug and the employees in Steinhausen have been informed of the plans. The company is currently in the consultation phase.
"It is important for us to emphasize that as a global company we strive for operational efficiency, especially in light of the challenges posed by the strong Swiss franc," said the spokesperson.
