Speeding driver in Ambri TI traveling at 128 km/h in urban areas

In Ambri TI, the Ticino cantonal police have stopped an Italian motorcyclist driving at 128 kilometers per hour in a built-up area. According to the police, the 55-year-old was driving without a driver's license valid in Switzerland.

During another speed check in Airolo, the man was caught driving at a speed of 78 kilometers per hour (km/h) at the permitted 60 km/h, the Ticino cantonal police wrote in a press release.

The police then initiated the necessary investigations and the 55-year-old was stopped in Chiasso by employees of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security.

The motorcyclist was reported to the public prosecutor's office for a serious violation of the Road Traffic Act and banned from driving in Switzerland.
