SRG Projection Predicts FDP Seat Gain in Thurgau

The Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG) has released a first projection for the National Council election in the canton of Thurgau. According to the projection, the Free Democratic Party (FDP) would win the election, gaining a seat at the expense of the Green Party. The six Thurgau National Council seats would be distributed as follows: SVP 3 (previously), Centre 1 (previously), SP 1 (previously), FDP 1 (+1), Green 0 (-1).

The SRG's projection sees the FDP as the winner in the canton of Thurgau. It would gain a National Council seat, taking it away from the Green Party. The six Thurgau National Council seats would be divided among the SVP (3), Centre (1), SP (1), FDP (1) and Green (0). This would be a gain of one seat for the FDP and a loss of one seat for the Green Party. The projection is based on the results of six of the 80 Thurgau municipalities.
