The Ukraine peace conference with over 90 states comes to a close on Sunday. In the morning, the delegations will also discuss a joint final declaration. According to a draft, this will call for Russia to be included in future talks.

In the draft, which was made available to news agencies Ansa and Reuters, among others, Russia is held responsible for the war in Ukraine, which has caused great human suffering and destruction. It also calls for Kiev to regain control of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and access to its ports, for example on the Black Sea.

All Ukrainian prisoners of war must be released and children deported from Ukraine must be returned to their homeland, it said. A threat to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine during the war is inadmissible. In addition, the inclusion of all parties is called for in order to achieve peace.

The hosts, Switzerland and Ukraine, hope that a further conference will be decided before the end of the year.
