SVP parliamentary group recognizes SP’s claim to second Federal Council seat

The SVP parliamentary group in the Federal Parliament wants to re-elect the incumbent members of the Federal Council on December 13. It is also backing the SP's second seat in the Federal Council.
It recognizes the concordance in the sense that the three parties with the most voters should be represented with two seats in the Federal Council. The parliamentary group announced on Tuesday evening that it would continue the discussion on the SP's Federal Council candidates next week after hearing the two official SP candidates Jon Pult and Beat Jans.
She questioned Basel's President of the Government Jans and Graubünden's National Councillor Pult on the "core issues of Switzerland's sovereignty vis-à-vis the EU, uncontrolled immigration and national growth - compliance with the debt brake".
