A Swiss tourist was allegedly raped near the Italian seaside resort of Rimini. This happened after she was found confused on a sidewalk by two men.

As the Italian news agency Ansa reported on Saturday, the two men suspected of the crime are in custody. They are a 59-year-old pizza chef and a 48-year-old waiter.

According to the investigators' findings, the two men allegedly found the Swiss tourist on a street on July 15 in the afternoon. The woman was then taken to a hotel room by the two men, undressed and put under the shower.

The carabinieri assumed that the two men had sexually abused the girl before calling the emergency number 118, writes Ansa. The young woman, who was on vacation on the Riviera with her boyfriend, was unable to remember what had happened. This was because she was under the influence of drugs, medication and alcohol.

The two men were taken into custody after a series of investigations and interviews.
